My name is Steven Lebowitz. I am currently the P.S. 115 Science / STEM Teacher and have been teaching this subject for the past 4 year. Prior to Science and STEM, I taught 2nd grade and 5th grade. I also assumed the position of Intervention Specialist for 6 year. Before I began teaching, I was a Paraprofessional for three years. I am now in my 21st year as an educator and love every minute of it. I am happy to say that I have spent all 21 years at P.S. 115.
I have an extensive educational background. I have my Associates in Early Childhood Education, my Bachelors in General Education, a Masters in K-12 Mathematics and 18 Graduate level credits in Special Education. I have also completed my certificate in both Building Level Administration and District Level Supervision.
I believe that teaching children is the most important job for our present and future. Teaching is both fulfilling and rewarding, knowing that it is my job to prepare children today to be tomorrow’s professionals and leaders. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your children at P.S. 115.
