What is a PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents and teachers who work to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their school. The PTA connects families to important school and community information.

Who is part of the PTA?

Every parent/guardian and teacher at P.S.115 is automatically a member of the PTA

The PTA depends on our families to volunteer their time, make donations, and participate in our fundraising.

Our Mission as the PTA of P.S.115 is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for our children. We aim to foster and encourage parental participation to create a vibrant, engaged community and to strengthen the relationships between parents, teachers and staff.

“At the end of the day the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents”
